What are you proposing to do?	To change the delivery of Minor Adaptations Services across North Yorkshire from a mixed in-house and commissioned service to an in-house model supported by DFG funding.
Why are you proposing this? What are the desired outcomes?	This approach creates a more consistent model for people accessing services by having a single provider and creates significant financial savings by utilising DFG funding which is not possible through an externally commissioned service.
Does the proposal involve a significant commitment or removal of resources? Please give details.	There is no change in the level of resource required, it is the model of delivery which is changing.

Will the proposal have a significant effect on how other organisations operate? (for example, partners, funding criteria, etc.). The proposal will see a contract cease with Yorkshire Housing, however this would have been the case anyway. The service is solely funded from NYC and DFG budgets and whilst other partners gain benefit from the service in terms of people remaining independent there will be no direct impacts.

Reason for decision		The service will remain the same from a customer point of view with the changes reflecting how the service is delivered through a change to in-house provision. A single service will create consistency across the county and ensure that people receive the same service wherever they live in North Yorkshire rather than the current two provider approach. By utilising DFG funding, the service will realise significant ongoing savings to core HAS budgets which can be used to support the Directorate’s financial targets.
